TapNGo Architecture

The TapNGo architecture includes five (5) layers. More specifically, there are the general services and infrastructure layer, field layer, communications layer, integration layer and application layer.

The services and infrastructure layer is divided to three main components. These are the communications server, applications server and administration server. This layer manages and communicates between the field layer and the Desk layer. It implements a host platform for all 3rd party systems, such as ERP systems and financial transaction systems. It provides different operational services, such as socket management, resource management and data management. This layer provides all of the connections from the field and from 3rd party services to the end client. More specifically, it provides the infrastructure for and enables the many services, such as localization, customization and client management that are associated with the service. In order to be able to reliably provide these connections, this layer needs to be, by definition, very scalable, versatile, flexible, stable and easy to maintain.

The field layer describes Transway's solution for fare collection for all of the ticketing machines and validation products in the field. More specifically, this covers the Certified Calypso standard that is used in concert with sales and loading devices, such as ticket issue machines, also known as consoles, ticket vending machines, and hand held devices. All of these products and ticket machines are bidirectional, and as such they transmit and receive data to and from the back office servers.

The communication layer describes Transway's flexibility and our capability to make the system functional for each kind of network. The system can work in non optimal conditions, such as on narrow band and unstable networks. Different kinds of devices are able to transfer data on different kind of networks including, but not limited to cellular, Wi-Fi, LAN and over the WEB.

The integration layer defines all the interfaces that Transway will need to prepare in order to comply with certain customers’ requests for their comprehensive solution. These are generally not included as part of Transway’s core specialties.

The application layer interacts with the end user. As such, all the products have an intuitive interface, new look and feel, logical flow and are all very easy to use. All products function as client server architecture. Some of them are web based and others require local installation. The setup process for locally installed applications are user friendly and do not require special skills.

NEXT GEN

Transway develops, manufactures and assembles hardware for automated ticketing solutions. These machines and devices are designed to be sturdy and strong, and to withstand a wide array of weather conditions – heat, cold, rain, humidity, dust and snow. They need to withstand the entire gamut of road conditions as well. Even though they are tough and durable, they are also aesthetically appealing and intuitive to use, so that both drivers and passengers have an effortless experience during the boarding and alighting of the vehicle.
